This turntable is probably the best choice for anyone out there. It's got the best of both worlds. It has all the important features of the flagship CDJ-1000 without the big price tag. Great feel, response, features, quality, durability. I love it!!! I've tried many others, like DENON S3500, 5000, Numark, American Audio, and none has the feel an functionality of this one except for the CDJ-1000. Pioneer is top notch and for real reasons, the industry standard.

I used the CDJ800 (mk1) for many years. After trying out many different manufacturers' DJ CD players (including Pioneer's other higher and lower models), I have come to the conclusion that the original CDJ800 is the top performer in this field. I have since switched to the Numark NDX400, which has all the features I need (play button + scratch wheel), and so far it is serving my needs, but I miss the larger wheel (not a huge issue) and the impeccable sound quality [the Numark has a very slight digital artifact when scratching (not that noticeable, but not a deal breaker)]. The CDJ800 is incredibly responsive, while the Numark takes a few tries to get a loop...Read more
