I baught one of these things and after hooking it up, I noticed that it started clipping at mid level volume on some hip-hop songs that had a lot of bass. I had to lower the bass all the way down to low. I then let my cousins band use it for their vocals and it too stated clipping. It just couldn't handle the high's and lows very well. I was disappointed with this purchase. I should have went with the Behringer which was of equal cost. I could probably just use it as a monitor or home setup....i cant use this for my DJ business.

I agree with the previous post, this speaker is not of any use for professional performing or sound re-enforcement at any price. I have purchased some inexpensive speakers and other audio equipment in the past to experiment with or use for small venues or rehearsal and had pretty good results, actually had wonderful results with some equipment, but the Gemini RS-412 and 415 are so far of no value whatsoever to me.

I primarily use Yorkville and Peavey gear, bullet-proof and the highest quality for any amount of dollars spent. I also use Mackie, JBL, and EV, all of which are WAY over priced for what they do, which is good to be honest. But Yorkville/Traynor and Peavey are much more useful and value for the dollar.

The Gemini 412 & 415 are just about useless, even for monitors. No power at all, very little in the way of patching connectors, and clip at anything above 4 of 10 on a volume scale.
Not worth the shipping cost.

I have had my Gemini RS-415 for over a year now and I use it for my karaoke entertainment business. This speaker is not made for a lot of bass, but for what I use it for, it works great! I have read reviews in the past not to buy it and to go with a name brand instead, which is fine, but you will also pay the high price for that name brand too! I like my current Gemini RS-415 so much, I just bought another one last night to use with my old one. I can connect the two speakers together via XLR cable and really rock out at my parties and gigs. This Gemini RS-415 will not disappoint you if you are looking for a decent sounding powered speaker at an affordable price.
